Avery stood across the street watching every move the real estate company’s work crew made as they placed the “FOR SALE” sign in the front yard.
Earning the trust and confidence of the homeowners, and to be awarded the listing of their property was not only hard work, it was an honor. Avery chuckled quietly knowing most people would laugh at this sentiment, but it was true. Avery enjoyed helping people achieve their goals in life. And, in partnering with Weichert, Avery found a career that was as rewarding as it was challenging.
When the crew was finished, Avery crossed the street and stress-tested the sign post before sliding in the topper that read “Virtual Open House This Sunday.” Avery smiled again, knowing that now the real work starts. With that, it was back to the office on Main Street to prepare for the newest listing and to secure the right buyer.
The Right Skill Sets and a Good Mindset
Avery wasn’t always a Weichert Agent. In the short time it took to drive to the office, Avery thought about the unpredictable course of events that turned into this current gig as a leading Weichert Sales Associate.
Before that, there was an entirely different career. When leaving the corporate world, Avery realized the skill sets acquired and honed to perfection from a different industry were absolutely applicable to the world of real estate.
There was even a short stint at a competing real estate broker. When leaving the other brokerage, Avery understood there must be a better way.

Arriving at the office, Avery was greeted with a few fist bumps and elbow taps to show solidarity in the new normal and to celebrate the newest listing. It hadn’t been that long of a drive from where the new sign went up, but the look back at what had gotten Avery to this point was miles in the rear-view mirror.

While preparing the new, Virtual Open House formatting, Avery reviewed the technology tips received during training earlier in the week.
Initially, the training for the new, integrated platform was the cause of collective angst amongst the local team. At first, it was viewed as just another training class, but after the rollout, everyone agreed their customers and clients would now have a significant competitive advantage via technology.

Avery knew it wouldn’t be long until the topper sign would change again to “Under Contract” and then to “SOLD.”
